Staff and Credentials
Dr Tahrawi grew up in San
Diego and attended college
at UCLA, where he graduated
in 2000 with a Bachelor of
Science in Psychobiology. He
went on to medical school at
Western University of Health
Sciences, where he earned
the Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
degree in 2004.
Dr Tahrawi completed a
residency in Anesthesiology
at USC in 2008, during which
he served as Chief Resident
in the senior year. Dr
Tahrawi received further
training with a fellowship
in Cardiothoracic
Anesthesiology in 2008-2009
at the renowned Cleveland
Clinic. During his
fellowship, Dr Tahrawi was
awarded "Echocardiography
Fellow of the Year".
Dr Tahrawi is a Diplomate of
the American Board of
Anesthesiology and Diplomate
of the Advanced
Peri-Operative
Transesophageal
Echocardiography Board. His
special areas of interest
are Cardiothoracic
Anesthesia, TEE and Regional
Anesthesia.
Dr Tahrawi started his
practice at Riverside
Community Hospital in 2009.
He joined UAMG in October
2011.
