Staff and Credentials 

Dr. Chu is a board certified anesthesiologist who has been in private practice, at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland California, for 17 years. He is currently the CEO of Upland Anesthesia Medical Group and has served several terms as the Vice Chairman as well as the Chairman of the Anesthesia Department at San Antonio Community Hospital. Dr. Chu is a co-founder of San Antonio Ambulatory Surgical Center Inc. and is currently the president of that corporation as well as its Medical Director and serves on its Board of Directors. He is listed in Consumers’ Guide to Top Doctors as one of the top rated specialists in the nation who physicians voted they would send a loved one to for care. He is a graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School where he also completed his anesthesia residency with special emphasis in Cardio-Thoracic Anesthesia in 1989. Dr. Chu is also serving a second term as a San Bernardino County delegate to the California Society of Anesthesiologists. He is married with three children and in his spare time he enjoys flying as an instrument rated private pilot.
