Staff and Credentials 

Dr. Brichta is a board certified anesthesiologist who earned her BA degree in chemistry at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She received her MS in chemistry at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan in 1986 focusing on environmental, analytical chemistry with emphasis on effects of acid rain on ground water.  Realizing the limitations of that profession and a desire to have more of an immediate impact on humanity she pursued an MD degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1988. She did her internship at USC/LA County in 1989 and her anesthesia residency at Harbor/UCLA in 1993. She has worked at San Antonio Community Hospital since 1993. She is the past Chairman and is currently the vice-chairman of the department. Last year Dr. Brichta was nominated one of the Inland Empires favorite medical practitioners in the Nov. 2005 issue of Inland Empire Magazine. Dr. Brichta enjoys hiking and traveling with her significant other, Richard, raising her four children, gardening, cooking and reading.
