Staff and Credentials 

Dr. Lopez is a board certified anesthesiologist who has been in practice at SACH since 1991. He served as chairman of the department of anesthesiology in 2003.

Dr Lopez grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and graduated from high school in 1974. His undergraduates studies was at Yale University, from which he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology in 1979. Dr Lopez then attended Harvard University Medical School and earned the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1983.

Dr Lopez completed residency training in Internal Medicine at UCLA in 1986. He then practiced as an emergency room physician until 1989 when he decided to switch to anesthesiology. Dr Lopez completed residency training in anesthesiology at the University of California at San Francisco in 1991.

In his spare time, Dr Lopez is a soccer fanatic. But his true hobby is to keep up with the four women in his life: his wife and three young daughters.
