P. Michael Carney, M.D., D.A.B.A.
Dr.
Carney is a
board
certified anesthesiologist who has
been in practice in
California since 1983. He
joined UAMG in 1999.
Dr.
Carney was born in Fort
Worth, Texas, and grew up in
Southern
California. He pursued his undergraduate study in
Microbiology at San Diego
State University, from
which he received a Bachelor
of Science degree in 1975.
Dr.
Carney's medical education
was at The University of
Texas Southwestern Medical
School in Dallas, Texas,
where he received his Doctor
of Medicine degree in 1980.
Subsequently, Dr. Carney
served his internship and
residency in anesthesiology
at Loma Linda University
Medical Center.
Dr.
Carney is a compassionate
physician, known for his
attention to details and
meticulous preparation in
providing anesthetic medical
care for his patients.
Dr.
Carney lives in Newport
Beach with his wife Sybil,
whom he has been married to
since 1973. They have one
adult son Christopher. In
his spare time, Dr. Carney
enjoy all kinds of water
sports, including scuba
diving, sailing, kayaking
and paddling. His true
passion is surfing.
