Dr. Bhatt is a board-certified anesthesiologist in practice since 2003, and has been with UAMG since 2007.

Dr Bhatt is a native of India, who immigrated to the U.S. at age 11. He grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he graduated from Dickinson High School in 1991.

Dr. Bhatt undergraduate studies were at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he earned a B. A. with general honors in Biological Sciences in 1995. Dr. Bhatt then attended medical school at Ross University in the Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1999.

Dr. Bhatt subsequently served in internship in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His anesthesiology residency was at St Joseph Hospital Center in Patterson, New Jersey, which he completed in 2003.

Dr. Bhatt then moved to Southern California to enter private practice. In 2006, he suspended his practice to obtain a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesia at USC in Los Angeles. Following completion of the fellowship, Dr. Bhatt joined the practice of UAMG.

In addition to board certification in anesthesiology, Dr. Bhatt is certified in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), a special diagnostic tool used in cardiovascular anesthesia.

Dr. Bhatt is married with two children.
